What we provide:

Carrington Behavioral Health provides a constellation of services designed to care for the whole person.

Nursing Services

Carrington’s nursing staff is available to assess and promote the physical health and development of our youth through direct care and education. Our nursing staff also supports psychiatry and outside medical providers in monitoring and advocating for each youth.

Psychiatry

Carrington offers on-site psychiatric evaluation and medication management services throughout our long lasting partnership with University Hospitals.

Therapeutic Services

In addition to a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan, every client will receive individual and group therapy with optional family therapy based on specific needs. Our team of licensed clinicians use evidenced-based and trauma informed interventions to meet each client’s treatment needs. Our Mental Health Day Treatment curriculum is based in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy and incorporates social skill building, mindfulness practices, and experiential therapies including art, music, and movement.

Case Management

Our case management team strives to coordinate with families, legal guardians, health care providers, legal professionals, and community partners to ensure the best outcomes for our youth.

Educational Services

Carrington supports our clients to pursue academic goals in a therapeutic environment through our partnership with Northeast Ohio Educational Service Center (NEOESC). NEOESC provides on-site education services through individualized small group instruction aligned with Core State Standards by a team of experienced, licensed educators. Educational services are tailored to meet applicable specialized education needs in keeping with any IEP or 504 Plans. Youth remain enrolled with their home school district to facilitate continuity and decrease administrative burden.

Transitions, Discharge, and Aftercare

Carrington is committed to the success of our clients long after program completion. Planning for discharge and aftercare begins at admission and discharge plans are reviewed and updated, as needed, every 30 days. Discharge planning included not only where the youth will live or be placed but also recommended treatment and support.
